[Billy's face appears on the screen, it's clear he's worried. It's also kind of obvious he hasn't slept; dark circles rim his tired eyes. He looks exhausted and not at all like his normal bright self.]

Uh, has anyone seen my boyfriend? Tall, blond, incredibly too good looking for me, answers to the name Teddy. I seem to have misplaced him.

[Or he was still avoiding Billy. Or the real reason he couldn't find him was that he'd been sent home, home before they could even talk about what happened. Before he could apologize...at least Teddy wouldn't remember anything.]

If you see him, tell him...just tell him I'm looking for him.

(OOC: Action is also fine if you want to find him wandering around looking for Teddy. He could use the distraction :) Edit: He's also apparently now at the bar, someone keep him from drinking too much? Yeah? )

[Oh god. First Tommy, now Teddy? It doesn't matter if they're probably safer back home than here. Billy doesn't take loss all that well. None of them do, when it comes down to it. But it's different with Teddy. He's Billy's everything and the idea of the two of them being separated again... Especially after all that crap with Loki?

Where are you right now?

[She disconnects from the network and stuffs the phone in her jeans pocket. True to her word, she's knocking on Billy's door a minute or so later.]

[Billy opens the door before she's even done knocking. She is exactly what he needed right that second and he looks at her pitifully.]

Hey.

[Kate doesn't say anything. She crosses the threshold and wraps her arms around Billy in a tight hug. She's never loved anyone the way she knows Billy loves Teddy.

All she can really do is be there for him right now, in any way he needs her.]

[BIlly lets out a breath he didn't even know he was holding and sinks into her embrace breathing deeply. He can feel tears welling up in his eyes but he fights them back. He's not going to cry. ] I don't know where he is, if he's gone or he just doesn't want to see me.

[She wouldn't blame him if he did. Were places reversed and she had someone she loved as much as he loves Teddy, she'd probably be crying, too.]

Teddy wouldn't just ignore you...

He would after the other night. [His voice was muffled against her shoulder.] We got into a huge fight and I- well I know I wouldn't forgive me if I was him.

[They rarely fight. Not like the rest of them have. And when they do, it's big.

Really big.]

What happened?

He got mad because he thinks I don't trust him with information about the future and I got mad that he wouldn't tell me what happened with my Mirror and I accidentally used magic on him to make him tell me and then I said he wasn't my Teddy. [And it sounded even worse retelling it.]

I'm scum.

[Ouch.

Kate wrapped her arms around him in another hug.]

It was an accident. [Not that it makes it any better. She remembers Teddy's worry over Billy using his powers to make him be in love.] You said it yourself. It was an accident.

[Billy sagged against her, taking comfort from her hugs. ] I know, but- you didn't see him. He looked so betrayed.

[It's not all that hard to imagine. What Billy can do is terrifying and something that Kate generally chooses not to think of. She knows that way leads to losing one of her best friends.

Everyone needs someone to have a little faith in them. And it sucks when that faith falters, even for a second.

She sighs.] Can you really blame him?

Of course not. If I were him I would be so pissed at me. Especially after...well it's not like he knows about that yet, but especially after he left because of my magic.

[Maybe Teddy was right not to trust his magic, maybe Billy didn't have as much control as he thought he did. ]
