1st ғʟɪʀᴛᴀᴛɪᴏɴ ☽O☾ [video]

[ When the video feed comes to life, Isaac is lounging on a rather plush chair looking far more smug than he ever has in his life. He's got a cup of tea balancing on one of the arm rests and next to it a plate of biscuits - quite the sweet tooth at the moment apparently. Two things stick out like a sore thumb - the amount of stubble on the usually babyfaced teenager and the white gauze pad above his eyebrow. Of course when "Isaac" opens his mouth it becomes apparent quickly that either A) Isaac has developed a European accent or B) this isn't Isaac. ]

I'll say, one moment I was smack dab in The French Quarter and then I found myself here and I haven't a bloody clue how it happened.

[ He purses his lips a bit indignantly before speaking again. ]

And while I have to assume the company here is far superior to the company I was forced to keep there - I'm not a big fan of this unbreakable boundary spell. I'd like to meet the witch that cast it.

[ Well. That's information she's let slip to only a select few since her arrival, and everyone who'd known - and were still alive - back home were now here. As far as everyone else was concerned, she was still a werewolf.

Granted, there were still timeline shenanigans to worry about, which just made her newly-kindled interest and suspicion all the more focused on the new arrival. ]

That is a weird idea. What makes you think I wouldn't be perfectly civil?

Although the fact that you know that much about hybrids might be an answer in and of itself.

[ Her gaze narrows slightly. ]

Who are you?

There's a lot of big deals in the Quarter these days.

[ Her tone is dry and unimpressed as she waves a hand as if this is no big deal. ]

I'm not one of them. Trust me.

[ Oh no. She's not in the habit of divulging too many secrets. Loose lips in the quarter is a dangerous thing to have, she's learned that just from witnessing half of it.

Granted, that could be said of anywhere that boasts any kind of supernatural population, she suspects. Always so volatile. ]

Not me. [ She echoes the sentiment with a grin that holds just an edge of sharpness that hints at what she is, a firm stubbornness only amplified by her nature. ]

You're the witch with his ear to the ground. Why don't you tell me what you've heard?

[ She arches an eyebrow at that, looking not at all convinced. Then again, she's more than unusually suspicious these days. ]

It doesn't always take trying, does it?

Besides, your coven or whatever you call it certainly seems adept enough at it whether you're actively trying or not.

[ She gives him a curious look at the sharp tone, wondering at that. Especially when witches seemed pretty loyal to their covens.

Except for Davina, of course, but she'd had legit reasons. This one didn't seem your typical Harvest Girl type. ]

What did they do to get on your bad side? Or was it the other way around?

[ Her gaze narrows slightly at the mention of her own favorite witch friend. ]

You know Davina?

Yeah the antagonism seems to run pretty deep on both sides there. That's a pretty hard fact to miss, even from someone who hasn't been there long.

[ And they weren't the only two sides with firmly drawn lines in the sand either. New Orleans was just full of egotistical assholes having a pissing match over a few square blocks of land.

For someone who'd never had much of a home or a place to put down roots, at times it seemed rather pointless to her. Although the witches she supposed she could understand, what with their magic linked to their ancestors. As she understood it, anyway. Seemed like a problematic source to get your powers from, in her opinion. Who had thought that was a good idea?

His mention of a coven has her frowning slightly in thought. ]
You can make one out of just two of you?
