[ By now, she's already had a relatively thorough look around the mansion and its grounds, investigating and exploring. She's overheard conversations, watched some people from afar, and has the gist of what this place is about. She's pretty sure she has, anyway. Wonderland, it's called. They're all "prisoners", all from different worlds or universes or whatever, blah blah blah, some magic junk, etc. It's only then, when she feels like she understands the situation, that she finally makes an appearance on the network, a wry smile on her face as she broadcasts. ]

So, I've heard this place be referred to as a prison, but you know what? It ain't so bad. I mean, there're rooms for each of us, free food--as much as you can eat--and we're free to come and go as we please. I don't see what's so bad about all that.

[ She kicks her feet up from her sitting position and gives the camera a look. ]

I think I could get used to this, actually. Loads better than anywhere I've ever lived before. Sure, we're trapped here or whatever, but is it really so bad? Could be a lot worse, you know. I'd rather be trapped somewhere comfortable if I'm going to be trapped at all.

[ With that, she shrugs, and cuts the feed. ]

[How can she even think that he's the only one being judgy here? She's totally being judgy! And he's certain he hadn't even done anything to deserve it. Definitely not been patronising - well, alright, maybe a little but not enough to warrant this reaction, right?]

[ She huffs in frustration--maybe she has been a little judgy, but it's not unwarranted in her mind! ]

Yeah, well-- Same with you!

[ This conversation is only getting more and more mature. She's all out of clever responses and falling back on blaming him for the same thing. ]

If I've been, then so have you!

[Alistair snorts with amusement and smirks at her.]

Is that the best argument you have? 'So have you'?

[Never mind that was exactly what he'd said just a moment ago. He'd said it first so that was different.]

What, are we going to start with the personal insults next?

[If they were going to be immature about this and all.]

[ She's obviously going to point that out. However, he's got a point. They are getting pretty immature here. ]

...No. As tempting as it is right now. [ Huff. ] I'm not gonna apologize, but I can probably stop arguing. Unless you say something really stupid.

[Oh, well that was almost disappointingly reasonable.... But maybe she has a point and he can let it go as well. Not that he's going to apologise if she's not.]

Are you sure? Because I can definitely come up with something if you want to keep going. Like... Your breath smells.

[Look she'd wanted stupid.]

[ She didn't want stupid. She just made a comment about it. ]

Is this what we're at now? You can't even smell my breath.

[ And she can't tell if he's just joking at this point or not. ]

[Maybe the joke hadn't been well-timed given they'd been arguing but he had been (sort-of-maybe) trying to smooth things over.]

That was- Never mind.

[And he's annoyed again. Still.]

You know what, forget it. I'll just leave you to enjoy yourself, shall I?

[ She might be a little to invested in arguing to break off and laugh at a joke. He'd touched a sensitive topic, okay? Then...the whole thing snowballed from there. Which is too bad because they'd started off decently, but he'd made a comment on one thing she's touchy about and...

And she's still annoyed. ]

Might as well. [ An angry little puff of breath. ] Because you're not funny, and I'm not in the mood for poorly-timed jokes.

[He is funny, thank you even if his timing isn't great. But if she's going to be like that then he's not about to stay and just take it.]

Fine then. Have fun with your, your judging.

[And with that amazing bit of wit he tries to turn off the device. And a few moments later actually manages to do so.]
