[After months of attempted planning (most of which was frequently cast to the wayside in favour of dealing with whatever fresh Hell decided to make itself known to them all) Evelyn has come to the conclusion that there will never be a "Good Time," and has therefore decided that with that being the case, it is simply easier to set what she likes, when she likes.

This is all a very runabout way of saying that Evelyn has politely asked the Mansion - which, as we all now know, is practically sentient - to deliver the following invitation to everyone's door:]

I'm holding a fête this Friday evening - there isn't a particular time for required attendance, it should be ongoing for several hours after dinner - and I should like as many parties as available to come. It is themed, as there are a number of us here from time periods before 1950, so appropriate attire is encouraged, but not mandated.

[This is in part due to a withering homesickness that Wonderland itself has been unable to satisfy.]

Kindly respond if you do plan to join, and I hope to see you all on Friday.

[*Evelyn is having a difficult time remembering to call them "digital."]

You may be happy to hear that the decades you've mentioned are incredibly romanticized in the "modern" era. Or... maybe you wouldn't be happy about that.

[ Snow smiles, chuckling lightly. She's learned by now that Evelyn and herself are something like kindred spirits. ]

Do you need any help with the planning?

[Less happy. The roaring twenties did end with crippling depression for a number of large countries, after all. Britain is still getting its bearings after the Great War. Evelyn grimaces.]

I might actually need help setting up, if you wouldn't mind lending a hand. It's been years since I held a party this large.

[Not that she doesn't think she's capable, but it's nice to be assisted.]

I don't mind at all. I used to organize this sort of thing all the time in Fabletown.

[ Well, when there came the time for parties, like Remembrance Day. It's been a while since she's done so, having been in Wonderland over a year, and... she doesn't exactly have the planning itch, but she certainly needs more things to do. ]

[Evelyn has tremendous respect for people who plan events professionally, and is fully aware that Snow is a detail-oriented person. Working together should come very easily.]

Why don't you drop in tomorrow, I can share my plans with you.

All right. [ Snow replies, looking pleased, grateful to finally have a Project to work on. ] Is there anything I should bring?

[ Other women might make a joke about bringing something like a bottle of wine, but she isn't about to let an important planning meeting get all mixed up with alcohol when one of those things is clearly more important than the other (and the more important thing is not the booze). ]

Just yourself!

[And a can-do attitude, which she's certain Snow employs on a daily basis. Women such as themselves tend to find it rather easy to take on challenges.]
