first hunt 🔪 video

Awesome.

[When the camera pans around at first all you see is jeans and boots before he's got it up and focused on his face. Dean flashes the receiver an unimpressed look, whatever this was he didn't want to be in on the joke.]

As far as abduction sequences go, the digs are nice. I'll give you that. Don't get me wrong, I'm flattered, but I so don't do Stockholm.

[Zachariah might want him to sign up and put his body on layaway for the apocalypse but he didn't have any plans to go belly up. As far as he was concerned, there was still a shot, and he'd only consent to Michael if he didn't have any other choice. He was a lot of things, but letting someone else do his dirty work wasn't his style.]

Whatever sick twisted things you had planned, I don't go that way. ...No matter what you've heard.

[Dean takes a minute to scratch the side of his cheek, and then sets his jaw and squares his shoulders. The usual off-the-cuff sarcasm is still as confident as ever, but he's over the showmanship. Broadcasting wasn't his bag.]

And anybody else that wants to feed me another line of crap about mirrors and royalty, don't waste your time. The creep I'm looking for has Fifty Shades of Douche written all over him.

Of course you shouldn't be okay with it. You've just gotten kidnapped to some messed up alternate universe based on a fairytale that if we're being honest, wasn't exactly the extoling the virtues of sanity. [Cami has to laugh a little at herself then; if Dean thought that had been what she meant to imply, it probably means she sounded pretty at ease with the whole mess. So just how long does someone have to be in Wonderland before that happens?]

But whether or not you're okay with it, there's also some things you're going to have to accept—eventually, anyway. Since it all comes off like some lunatic's ramblings at the start, some healthy skepticism is pretty understandable.

[Oh come on Dean; that wasn't even real psych-shoptalk!

But like he says, whatever. He at least seems to be willing to listen, although for how long is anyone's guess. Cami sighs softly, already expecting this isn't going to go over well.]

You're in Wonderland, yes, as in "Alice in." Outside of random magic, no one knows how we got here, and no one knows how to get out. People are brought here from different worlds and different times, and by the way, you've got some familiar faces around, like your brother Sam.

[And people who were dead, but she's trying to cram in what she can before he starts interrupting with too many questions.]

We're routinely put through mind-altering experiences referred to as "events" which really suck, for the record. We've also got potentially evil dopplegangers on the opposite side of the mirrors, but aside from being creepy stalkers we don't necessarily hear from them a lot. People can die and get brought back to life, but at five deaths we lose something important. Kitchen's on the first floor, bar's on the fifth, diner's on the eighth and there's a magic closet in every room that'll give you pretty much anything you think of, although not always in the way you want.

And your car is parked outside.

I can show you where it is. [Especially if he's not walking around with a massive scythe this time. In truth though, his cavalier attitude has Cami less worried; while Dean probably doesn't believe her and definitely doesn't trust her, he doesn't seem as burdened as he has other times he's shown up. At the same time, this definitely isn't the same jerk of a demon who went on a murder spree either.

She's definitely interested to hear what Sam has to say.]

The 10-20? [Context is enough for Cami to figure it out, but she's still a little amused as she answers.] Just meet me by the front door. I don't know how much of a chance you've had to explore yet.

[And how many other people have also answered whom Dean needs to see.]

Wow. You mean you're going to be nice enough to let me show you where your car is parked? I'm honored.

[That's pretty damn special, Dean.]

[He's got a bit of an advantage to start, although as far as Cami can tell Dean's not aware of it yet. He also doesn't seem anything like the demonic version of himself that had graced their halls so many months ago, so Cami feels pretty safe as she heads downstairs.

It doesn't stop her from tucking away a vial of holy water though. Just to be safe.]

Hey. [Once she sees him down there, she straight up to him. Figuring he won't want to linger, she tilts her head towards the door.] This way. Unfortunately there aren't exactly roads or anything, but your car's parked in a pretty safe spot.
