Hello Wonderland! This is Dr. Pines speaking.

Out of curiosity, how many of you have been to different dimensions, not counting this one? Alternate worlds? Other parallel planes of existence? Or... engaged in any form of time travel, for that matter. How did you do it? Was it even on purpose, or by some fluke?

I myself spent three decades adrift in the multiverse. Fascinating stuff.

[PRIVATE TO FIDDLEFORD & STAN]

Stanley, Fiddleford--

--We need to dismantle the portal in the basement and we have to do it as soon as possible. I can't just let that thing sit around being dangerous.

Fiddleford and I should be able to take it apart with no problems, but Stanley, since you did push to have it built in the first place I thought it was only fair to tell you what I want to do.

[There's a brief, awkward pause, and then...]

I've hurt enough people with my recklessness.

Cryogenics, yeah. [As for magic, that's still something she's getting used to here.] I didn't know we were going to be frozen, but that was their plan all along.

As far as I know, just to see what would happen. [Her voice is filled with venom at the idea.] This is the kind of stuff VaultTec does, although I didn't know it at the time. We thought we were going somewhere safe.

Yes - my husband, my baby boy, all of our neighbours... and there were many more Vaults too, all across America, although they weren't freezing people, the others I've found were running very different experiments. They sold them to us as a safe place to go when the bombs fell, but really we were all just test subjects to them.

That's almost two hundred years before I was born.

[She sounds slightly amused as she realises it.]

The excuse was energy - after fossil fuels ran out, there was a scramble for natural resources. But if it wasn't that, they'd have found some other reason to blow each other up.

Yeah, you and me both. [It felt strange to hear someone apologising for it, especially when the ones who'd actually messed the planet up were long gone.] It feels strange being here, in comparison. Everything's so clean.

Right? I haven't gotten over the plumbing yet. Being able to bathe in water that isn't full of radiation, that's a luxury.
