[This kid's been busy, it turns out. Very busy. It's Valentine's Day, as most everyone is in all likelihood well aware, and for the first few moments of the broadcast, they appear to be quite busy with something, tongue stuck between their teeth, brow furrowed with concentration.

Eventually they glance up, however, and hold up a simple heart cut out of red construction paper. They appear to have been in the process of drawing myriad swirls along the edges. They were going for something reminiscent of a lace pattern, but results are...inconclusive.]

If anyone needs valentines, I made... [A brief pause, and they duck out of sight, only to return with an armful of hearts of every color in the rainbow.] I, um, I have a lot extra.

[But that's just the first purpose of their broadcast. The second is something they've been hard at work on for some time. A combination of careful observation, idle speculation, and wheedling questions has yielded some interesting results, and it's about time those were documented.]

And there's something else, too.

[For a brief moment, they form a fingergun with their free hand, one maroon eye winking shut in a gesture that was, in all likelihood, meant to emerge as flirtatious but simply ends up comically overexaggerated. And then...then they upload the file.]

[Mettaton considers pushing back on the worry topic, but he lets it slide. He's already overstepped quite a bit here and to do more would be quite rude to his friend.]

It's quite all right. You deserve to know as much as possible about this, after all. As for his writing it was... very strange. Very cryptic and, quite frankly, creepy. He wrote in red paint at one point, if you can believe it.

[It was certainly impressive and it got the point across, but goodness was it dramatic!]

That I am not surprised about. But did it sound like he was being influenced by something? Like a sudden shift in his personality.

[True, he had swung from being cryptic to cryptic and creepy when Mettaton mentioned Mercy, but did it seem like there was something else there? It'll likely show that Zacharie is looking for something in these lines of questionings but even if the NPC hadn't been taking extreme measures to keep himself safe from other Mirrors, his own appeared to have no interest in speaking to him face-to-face.

So?]

[Mettaton sits there and thinks for a moment, trying to think of a good answer.]

Well... he spoke of strings and rules. He seemed to act like the state of his world and his role in it still applied, though he seemed to view it with disdain.

I see. And I can understand why he would dislike it.

[It's still him, but with a twist. Someone who looked at the bones of the world and rather than shrugging their shoulders, they felt like they were going to vomit. There's only two ways you could go when you're omniscient like Zacharie and one of those ways is kicking, screaming and tearing your hair out.]

Thank you for telling me about this Mettaton. I would like you to keep this quiet, but as a piece of advice if you ever meet my Mirror face-to-face....I advise you not to eat anything he gives you.

[Just in case.]

[Mettaton nods, accepting Zacharie's request but he pauses at the last bit the merchant says.]

...Why is that? Would he be attempting to poison me?

Something like that, yes.

[Sugar could be considered a poison of sorts. But Zacharie's not going to call the Element by its name. That would bring Sucre into it and he's not going there right now.]

[Yikes!]

Very well then. Duly noted.

[It's a simple warning, but he feels he should give one in kind. Even if it feels... wrong to speak of his mirror like that.]

[Given his interactions with Mettaton, it's hard for Zacharie to picture what his Mirror might be like to earn a warning like his. But it was best to keep everything in mind when it came to them.]
