[ when the feed opens on becky's face, it's obvious from her expression that she's trying to hold back her excitement about something. her grin seems to say she knows something that everyone else doesn't know — and, well, it's something everyone has probably been wondering about since tuesday. at least, the ones she'd subjected to being set up. she would have attempted to hide her identity as the person responsible for the blind dates for longer than a few days, but she's simply dying to know how they all went and the only way she can find out is if she outs herself. or she could just stalk everyone, but this way is much easier and much more direct. ]

Soooooo... [ the vowels fluctuate in a sing-song manner and she stares expectantly at the screen, brows raised. ] How was everyone's Tuesday? I'm dying to hear all about it.

[ yeah, she's really not trying for subtlety here. she might actually die from excitement at this point the way she's practically holding her breath. it's almost like she's saving it all in case she needs to let out a powerful fangirl screech... sadly, that probably won't happen. maybe next time, becky. ]

[Brittany, of course, being Brittany...had absolutely no idea what she was talking about. Mostly because she hadn't been on any recent dates, but also because she'd been slightly more distracted than usual with her own relationship.]

Oh, nothing... Just something I like to call "Date Night." [ as this is what she is going to refer to it as from now on. ]

[The amount of obvious in this whole thing is enough for Mistress Ching to find (for the record, she's blind), and there's nothing at all wrong with his mental functionality, thank you.

It's a debate, whether it's worth acknowledging or not, but in the end, temper wins out.

But he's calm, dammit. Calm and composed. And his voice, always on the lower end of the scale, is missing its characteristic nasal quality, which to anyone with brain cells to rub together should be a dead give-away that he's furious.

Had to admit, I was wondering who would bother. So what's your angle? Why'd you set everyone up?

Guilty as charged! [ and yet she doesn't seem too bothered by that. ] I just figured everyone could use a Date Night, you know? Meet new people, maybe find an unexpected romance... [ and from the way she looks wistfully off into the distance, it's like she's imagining those unexpected romances happening in her head right now. ]

[ it's not really a matter of what made her think he was gay... that's not how shipping works, angel, sheesh. sexuality never even really came into play. it was just "these two would look hot together" or "their personalities would be an interesting combination." ]

[All things considered, Alex isn't upset. He got free food, and got to hang out with a new friend. Though it was a little confusing. He's already gathered that this girl is the one responsible, but he's got a (few) question(s):]

[Forget the rest of Wonderland, that is the real issue. Cupids set humans up all the time, and in a much more permanent fashion than Becky has. It doesn't do them any harm.

Angels, however - they're meant to be exempt from this kind of nonsense.]

[ becky looks less proud and a little more sheepish when michael addresses her. she's obviously not going to tell him that shipping brothers is her number one favorite thing and she was just playing that out by setting up the archangels. ]

she does know. she knows very well, in fact. how she'd managed to overlook that little detail is beyond her, but now it's too late and, well, she's just going to give him the most pathetic puppy dog eyes because she really was trying to do something nice for him. or get rid of her competition, but, you know, same diff. ]

In fact, the Pie Maker could think of a great many things he would have rather done on Tuesday than find himself trapped in a room with the former-Pie Enthusiast, now-Potential Future Murderer. Unamused by the antics of the Mansion's mysterious romantic benefactor, Ned had excused himself after threats and name-calling, not particularly willing to engage in fisticuffs with a man who looked as though he flossed with Pie Makers after a hearty breakfast.]

...that was your doing.

[It is a question, it simply lacks the usual inflection - an unfortunate result of Ned's monotone displeasure.]

[ oh, come on, ned, it couldn't have been that bad. dean's a good guy! though, of course, she has no idea about their history in wonderland, she obviously just figured a pie maker and dean would go well together. (dean has weird sexual tension with like every guy he ever talks to, anyway. and maybe she thinks ned looks sort of like sam...)

she continues to grin at him like she's done nothing wrong, because obviously nothing bad could have happened between the pie maker and dean winchester. ]

Sure was! It might have been a little too custom tailored for Dean, but I hope you had a good time, too. That was the whole point.

[ cora isn't sure if she wants to punch her or roll her eyes exasperatedly at becky. the blind date got her out of her regular routine of barely existing, slumming it out in her room with boudica as she takes to being a grandma rather than a teenage girl with her entire life ahead of her. but it's still awkward. she goes for the latter — hence why this isn't text. she inhales deeply, taking her time, before she stares into the camera, expression unimpressed. ]

Why?

[ isn't she the girl with absolutely no shippability? she has eyes — sam's a tall fish to catch for someone who can't bait a relationship with even the biggest worm according to this girl. ]

[ becky shrugs, seemingly unfazed by everyone's reactions to all of this. mostly it's just the same thing over and over, "it was you?" "why?" she's happy to answer, really. ]

Why not? [ what she doesn't say, however, is "you're sam's type." because she doesn't really want to admit that to herself, even though she knows it's true that she isn't his type. and, okay, maybe she saw cora and imagined that's sort of how madison looked. ]

[Steve doesn't recognize the girl on the video feed, and at first her question about a random day in the week seems to come from out of nowhere.

Except then he remembers what happened on Tuesday, and after conferring with some of his teammates, he finds out that he's not the only one who ended up on a "date." Sam, Natasha, Bruce, and Clint had all gotten notes too. So had Darcy and Jane, from what he's heard. Pepper and Tony may have been the only ones overlooked, for obvious reasons.

So this stranger is the one behind it. Steve sends a reply, but he's not angry -- really, he's just baffled.]

That was you? You went to a whole lot of trouble for strangers.

[ captain america hasn't actually come out when she's from, but that's the magic of wonderland -- so of course she's seen it now and of course she is absolutely in love with cap and bucky (and cap and buckey... together). so they might be strangers, but she is completely invested in his love life. sorry, cap... if you thought america was bad, well... let's just say you'd never want america and becky in the same room.

so she's more than ecstatic that cap responded to her. so much so that she's having a hard time keeping her fangirling at bay. but there is an attempt. that's better than just screaming at him. ]

Well, I mean ... it's you. [ she bites at her lip, glancing down for a moment before returning her gaze to his. ] And I've seen the way you look at Bucky.

[The mystery of the secret admirer notes has been bothering Martha for the past few days, and yet this somehow isn't the answer she'd been expecting. She doesn't recognize the admitted matchmaker, which makes the entire thing even stranger.

Still, the girl's offered herself up for questioning. It's not that Martha's "date" went badly by any means, but...]

Were these matches made randomly? [From what she heard, the Doctor had been placed with a pretty, excitable girl with a taste for adventure. That didn't seem random.

And well, she'd been placed with a doctor. That also fit, at least on a surface level.]

[ becky actually put a lot of thought into most of the matches, okay. even if some of them had never met before, having something in common is usually the principle of cross-canon shipping. ]

Depends on what you mean by random. I didn't just pull people's names out of a hat, if that's what you mean. I like to think that my matches make a little sense. [ not that she hasn't shipped stuff just because she thought they'd be hot... but in those cases she's found something the characters share in common, or a conflict that might arise between them. hatesex is definitely a thing she's written before. ]

Well, doesn't everyone deserve a night of romance? Especially with all the weird stuff that happens around here. There aren't nearly enough opportunities for people to find new love without some sort of weird Wonderland event pushing them in the right direction. I was just trying to be that push.
