[ when the feed opens on becky's face, it's obvious from her expression that she's trying to hold back her excitement about something. her grin seems to say she knows something that everyone else doesn't know — and, well, it's something everyone has probably been wondering about since tuesday. at least, the ones she'd subjected to being set up. she would have attempted to hide her identity as the person responsible for the blind dates for longer than a few days, but she's simply dying to know how they all went and the only way she can find out is if she outs herself. or she could just stalk everyone, but this way is much easier and much more direct. ]

Soooooo... [ the vowels fluctuate in a sing-song manner and she stares expectantly at the screen, brows raised. ] How was everyone's Tuesday? I'm dying to hear all about it.

[ yeah, she's really not trying for subtlety here. she might actually die from excitement at this point the way she's practically holding her breath. it's almost like she's saving it all in case she needs to let out a powerful fangirl screech... sadly, that probably won't happen. maybe next time, becky. ]

Have you? Maybe you just haven't been on enough dates. What's so bad about dating, anyway?

[ unless he has sam syndrome. and that would just be unfortunate for everyone involved. ]

Yeah, and trust me, even with the right person, it's not all it's cracked up to be.

[Someone usually dies or gets possessed. It's a pattern he'd really like to kick one of these days.

He grimaces. There's a very simple answer to that particular question.]

Because people tend to get hurt as soon as someone decides the person in question might mean something to me.

[He might as well be a Winchester.]

[ oh, whatever. she'd gladly live with the fact that she might get kidnapped or die horribly if it meant getting to be with sam. it would be totally worth it, even for one night. she could literally die happy. and, in a twisted way, someone thinking she's important enough to someone else is kind of flattering, really, because no one ever thinks she's important enough. ]

Uh huh. [ still not convinced. ] And I'm sure swearing off dating has solved all your problems, hasn't it? [ people will get hurt whether you date them or not, you know. ] Unless you stop caring about people altogether, it's kind of pointless not to let yourself have a little fun every once in a while.

[Becky, you might need to talk to someone about those priorities of yours. A professional, maybe.]

Not all of them, but enough. [Sort of. Kind of?] Nobody's died recently, anyway.

[That's a win, isn't it?]

[ excuse, her priorities are perfectly in order. ]

Recently? [ oh, no... ] You're not cursed like Sam, are you? [ but even sam still tries to have fun when he can, even if 99% of the people he sleeps with die. ]

I, uh-- guess that depends.

[She just had to go and say cursed.]

What's Sam's curse? Mine's kind of-- specific.

Oh, um. Well, his isn't really a curse — I mean, it's more like a series of really unfortunate coincidences? [ she smiles nervously, wondering if she should really even be talking about this... but she's already gotten started so she might as well finish. ] He has a bad habit of sleeping with monsters... not to mention every girl he's slept with, human or not, has wound up dead, so... [ she pretends to look upset, even though all his girlfriends being dead means there's more room for her, despite her mostly likely inevitable and untimely demise were she to ever actually get him in bed. ] It's so sad, really.
