[ It’s not every day that the people of Wonderland get good news, and boy has Dean gotten some— at least according to his brother. It’s why when the feed clicks on, the view is of both brothers leaving the Mansion, their destination becoming clear within the next few seconds. Parked just outside sits a car, black surface shining and spotless and perfect.

And Dean? Dean looks beyond excited, breaking away from his brother with a few quick steps as he approaches the newly arrived vehicle. Like a kid in a candy store, he huffs a laugh as he approaches it, hand reaching out to touch the Impala the moment he’s close enough, an undeniable gasp leaving him as he does. ]

Baby—

[ Anything and anyone else seems to be forgotten after that, Dean’s focus entirely on the car. He all but embraces it, whispering —Sorry I left you, I’m back now, you’re so beautiful, I’ll never let anyone hurt or touch you again — things to what’s arguably a third Winchester by every standard except blood.

The reason it's all being recorded in the first place is due to Sam who, though the network can't see his face, has the whole scene playing out via his camera. The younger Winchester, who'd spotted the car earlier, just scoffs in honest disbelief. ]

Told you. I wouldn't've believed it, but... yeah. Guess she left it behind.

[ "For us" goes unspoken after the exceptionally awkward story that she'd elected to share with everyone. It's a backwards kind of bittersweet now that she'd gone, gifting them their literal mobile home. ]

Just wanted you to see it. I'll give you two a room.

[ With a little laugh, he turns away as if to head back inside. However, the video from the device switches to another recorded feed, one from a camera that Sam had stuck within the car before bringing his brother out. Apparently edited for content, a song queues up in the background to overlay the scene.

And what a scene it is. Anyone who actually decides it’s a good idea to keep watching will be subjected to more of, well, what’s already been going on. Dean’s all but kissing the car, rounding around the back until he’s at the driver’s side, then slipping in to sit behind the wheel. Hands feel down the steering wheel, then the side compartment — his cassettes, yes — and every inch of the car. All with Dean looking as if he’s been reunited with a long lost friend, words of affection still whispered to the car in a hushed tone.

Shh, this is a private moment. ]

Yup. S'been a while since we've had the car here. [ "One of the other Deans," or, as Sam thinks of it, Dean from a while ago had had the Impala back when they'd first shown up together after the angels had fallen. Somehow they'd lost track of it with everything that'd happened, but now... ]

Okay, first off, she's a lady. And a car. Secondly, take your tik teks and scram.

[While this footage may be alarming to some, it's really nothing new for Castiel. He's been around Dean and his car enough to understand the facets of their relationship. Sam may find it amusing to broadcast it for everyone to see, but Dean has never been shy about how much he loves his car.

So in the end, Castiel only rolls his eyes to himself. He recalls Dean once saying that the car was better off where it belonged, that it couldn't be used to its full potential here -- but now that it is here, he certainly isn't complaining.

Castiel isn't the biggest fan of the Impala. Back home, Dean insists on taking it everywhere despite how slow it is. Granted, while they've had some arguments while in its seats, they've also had some memorable conversations too.

He's a little more accepting of it than he once had been.

He appears on the video feed, eyebrow slightly raised.] Does this mean we'll need to pave roads here in Wonderland? [It's delivered dryly, but in reality, he's glad for Dean. He deserved a break after how impossible Wonderland has been to them lately.]

[ the fact that cas isn't jumping from joy isn't all that surprising -- though he should be, really, this is an incredible moment -- but dean still finds himself pleased to find cas when his face pops up on the feed. even with the driest of dry comment. no one can really rub him as wrong as sam, who had thought installing cameras was somehow a funny thing to do, so...

no worries! dean blinks, a smirk tugging at his mouth; one of pride and equal amounts of excitement. ]

Not a bad idea, man. You volunteering? Should look into that. [ were you being sarcastic, because that's a great idea. rubber burning on a highway-- dean'll do anything for that. ]

[ Sam just rolls his eyes, but he's grinning. The reactions have been pretty priceless, but he's also just glad to have their literal mobile home back in action. Or, at least nearby. ]

Farthest we'd get on any roadtrips would be from the forest to the beach, or something.

[ The channel Will opens is open to both brothers and the inanimate object of Dean's automotive lust, but Will pitches directly to Sam, the rim of his glasses seemingly the sole barrier between his eyes and them rolling out of his head. Though he could damn well do it if he pleases. ]

I don't know that this explains a lot about him, but does he always make people this uncomfortable?

[ Not that Will is sure he has a threshold for uncomfortable anymore, but he has to pretend to. ]

... I'm giving him a lot of crap, but the car is really important. To both of us. Hell, we grew up in there; I've spent more time in the Impala than I have anywhere else.

[ He's not exactly surprised to see Deans reaction to his car. People get really attached to some things! But...yeah. This seems like a little bit much. ]

I suppose it's a nice car, but what are you going to do with it? [ Because Harry is pretty sure there isn't anywhere to drive to, around here. ]
