[ Elijah’s device comes to life for all of Wonderland to see. This time he’s not alone. He appears to be seated in the tea room with a certain witch and Mikaelson. One that he quite recently got into a little family squabble with. Just another day in the life of the Mikaelson family. It’s a miracle if they’re not fighting. Or perhaps something is very wrong. ]

It is with great sympathy that I announce to any and all who knew him that Niklaus Mikaelson has returned home. To be with my recently departed sister I hope.

[ And Hope. He won’t say that part verbally though. Hope’s still a bit of a secret. Something Elijah will kill to protect. ]

At least I hope he’s returned home. If someone’s done something to him--[ He shifts and clears his throat. ]--this is not a battle you want to start. [ Talking to you Dean Winchester. ]

What my brother means to say, [ Kol begins, easily enough once Elijah finishes. ] is that if either of us learn that this was some sort of attack on our dear brother, I won’t hesitate to hand you over to me brother here in a handbasket, as a nice tasty snack. [ Seriously, vampires are kinda gross, man.

Despite the seeming alliance with his eldest brother, Kol looks tense, and downright agitated - whether he’s as bothered by Nik’s disappearance as Elijah is or if he’s just bothered to be near Elijah, well, that’s anyone’s guess. ] Or I might just finish what I’ve started if you’re a certain hunter. [ Because GOD DAMN IT CAMI. But he had better things to do than hunt down errant hunters, and honestly Klaus made enemies by the second; he didn’t have time for them, not when he was trying to figure out how to soothe Davina’s nerves on the matter of Angelus.

The Mikaelson witch shook his head before turning his unimpressed gaze back to Elijah. He’s played nice, threatened the locals, can he go back to his girl now? ]

Must you? [ Elijah’s attention turns from Kol to the device. Don’t spread it around that Elijah eats people for fun. Any lives he takes have a reason behind the attack. ] I don’t drink from the vein, but if I suspect you had anything to do with my brother’s disappearance I will handle you accordingly. [ Which means he might just tear out your heart or just bat your head off. Whatever feels appropriate for the situation. Elijah gives a cordial smile before he nods his head. ] That’s all I have to say on the matter. Have a lovely evening.

[ ooc: the brother's will be responding accordingly. if you want a specific one make sure to designate in the title. otherwise it's possible you'll just get both. ]

[ He's not proud of his behavior with Kol, but he's not exactly having an easy time these days. His mother left her mark inside of him and Kol pressed all the right buttons to make him lash out. ]

I admit my behavior became--unruly. I've apologized to Kol. I was overly emotional over the departure of Rebekah. Especially after her fate is so uncertain back home. I overreacted.

[And despite Kol's unease over it all, she can understand that. Tempers were a fickle thing and while she wasn't exactly a fan of all of them, Rebekah was one that she genuinely liked. Someone who seemed to have her best interests at heart and took Davina under her wing when she'd first arrived bloody and terrified.]

I'm sorry Rebekah was sent home. [She didn't have any siblings, no positive emotional connections to her birth family. No, the closest she could imagine would be Kol or Marcel leaving after getting used to having them here... That is, if Marcel ever got dragged here.] Seems to be a trend in your family, overreacting and opting for violence as the outlet.

[ He has no intention to kill Kol. He's the only family that Elijah has here other than Hayley. At this point he firmly believes they need to come together with the disappearance of Niklaus. Eventually he'll have to do something to prove to his younger brother he means him no harm, but he's still thinking on that. ]

I like to think you know me well enough now to realize that violence isn't always my first response. [ Even Rebekah had been shocked when he slaughtered the people in the diner. ] Being back in Wonderland had me overly stressed.

[While he had no intention, Mikaelson tempers tended to run hot and this place was like a feeding ground for emotional responses and bad impulsive decisions. Add on top of that being sent home only to be dragged back here and well, she could relate.

Although the only person she’d hurt on her re-arrival had been Klaus when he was standing over Kol’s body.]

I do, but this place makes people unpredictable. I know you pretty well, but you should also know me. Know where I stand when it comes to people I care about.

[That should be more than enough of a warning. She may not pack the same punch that she used to before the reaping, but she's way more in control of her magic - enough so that she can still very easily take down a vampire.]

[ She is right about the Mikaelson temper. Elijah tries to keep his in check because he's seen Niklaus, Kol and Rebekah lose control of theirs. Finn hardly let himself slip, but he handled things his own way. He was more secretive in his destruction. He didn't fall victim to the Mikaelson temper-tantrum. ]

I'm well aware of what you feel for my little brother. I promise I'll do him no more harm. [ He takes a breath and looks at Davina. ] You have my word. [ Which tends to be golden with Elijah. He doesn't break his word. ] Kol won't be harmed by me. But I expect him to not attack me as well. I have no desire to wage a war with my own blood. I'd prefer if we were allies.

[fantoche]

Good. [And she'll take his word, one of the few people she's ever come across that stands behind it. She'd have to talk to Kol to make sure that Elijah's word stays true - make sure that Kol doesn't do something to sabotage it... Either intentionally or unintentionally.]

In a place like this, it's good to have allies. [That much she can agree with.] I'll talk to him and see what I can do to help that along since there are bigger things to worry about around here than each other.

[ Kol does have the tendency to meddle. He supposes that's just him being a little brother. It happens. Niklaus is the same way. That's one of the reasons they get on so well and then can be at each other's throats in moments. Too similar. ]

I'm glad you see it that way, Davina. You've shown remarkable restraint and maturity for someone of your age. I admire that.

[ He doesn't mean for it to sound condescending, but most of what Elijah says does have that tone. ]
