[ it's been a long time, months and months, since sansa had addressed wonderland. many moon cycles came and gone and people has well. today finds her in silks the color of the bluest skies and her hair in an elaborated braid that might remind some of a departed queen whose hair was silver. ]

Good people of Wonderland, I hope today finds you well.

[ formal and perhaps distanced, too. sansa had kept to her chambers for days on end, had not traded words with anyone. the stings were perhaps a bit too much. she had given herself some time to collect herself again and when the need came.

well, there she is. ]

Many people came and gone from this Wonderland of ours and I am missing a companion of my own. A direwolf named Lyanne I have sent to search for some friends that I have found - have departed from among us and were sent free.

[ her voice doesn't quiver, she tidies her gown and speaks again ]

She is highly likely still searching yet I must request that if you happen upon her, you shall tell her to find me. She is a direwolf of the north, larger than a wolf and smaller than a bear, her eyes are golden and her coat is that of grey for.

[ a beat and ]

And I am Lady Sansa of House Stark.

[Dipper grins, rubbing the back of his head.] I'm sure she just knew we'd take her to you.

She trusted you to.

[ she corrects because it is important, after all ]

they care for their pack, direwolves. those they trust, they will also protect. I am certain she shall follow you again, if you will see her.

[ she smiles a little ]

I wanted to speak to you of something, in truth.

Oh yeah? [Dipper looks up, interested.] What do you want to talk about?

It is more of a request for your forgiveness.

[ she inclines her head a bit. ]

I was too ill to attend the celebrations of your name day. Forgive me, I must have seemed ill-mannered. I do have a gift for you, however, if you would have it.

Nameday? [He frowns for a moment, then nods.] Oh, our birthday party! It's okay. I saved you some lemon cakes. You got me something?

[He smiles slightly, looking interested. Partly because presents are always exciting, partly because presents from Sansa seem even more exciting in ways he doesn't quite know how to vocalize.]

You have my gratitude. The place does not always supply me with them.

[ lemon cakes, there is. and that he remembered is sweet. it is an odd thing, in westeros dipper would have been a man grown, sent to wars or wedded, mabel would have been a woman on her nameday but here, sansa feels odd to think of them as such. ]

Only a small thing, this realm does not allow for grander gifts.

I'm pretty sure our definitions of grand are pretty different anyway.

[He grins, leaning forward a little.]

So what is it? Or no wait! I could come find you and you can give it to me in person?

I imagine they are. In my realm, for your nameday, I imagine you would have gotten a steed.

[ much like robb had when he turned three-and-ten. she smiles a little and nods. ]

Maphaps - in the tea rooms?

I hope it's not a steed. I don't know if I can handle the responsibility of caring for one! And Mabel hasn't been allowed near horses since the petting zoo incident.

[But if he's getting it in the tea rooms, probably not a steed. He beams and nods.]

Sure, I'll be over in a minute!

[ sansa wears her lighter silks for the meeting, allows her hair down her back as she climbs the stairs from the topmost floor and to the tearooms. it's a silent journey, one she's well used to. she'll pour herself some tea before his arrival but shall rise to her feet when he does arrive. ]

nothing but strawberry.

[ she looks down at the little plate the room had given her. strawberry shortcakes but yes, naught else. ]

Well, I brought the leftover lemon cakes. [He holds up a tupperware container. The lemon cakes have little pirate flags drawn on them in frosting, but are normal besides that.] Strawberry's probably good too, though.

Not as good.

[ ok, so she's being a bit of a brat but she smiles, takes it ]

thank you. I've never seen lemon cakes quite like these.

[ spoken as she takes a seat and hands him a box. ]

I've taken notice that you favor reading and some of those were not present at the library yet the wardrobes gave them to me readily when I asked. They are of my own realm, its tales of princesses riding dragons and the children of the forest. they are all true or so we believe.

[ the last person sansa had seen giving books as a present had been her lord husband but sansa attempts not to think of tyrion or the foolishness which aspired joffrey to treat the gift with the same violence he treated everything else. ]

We were keeping with the theme of the party. [He sits down across the table from her and opens the box, face lighting up at the books.]

That's amazing! [He looks up at her, grinning.] You know, I've seen some really strange things in my world, but I'll still never be used to dragons being real.

Queen Daenerys has told me she has three, in our realm.

[ that alone, sansa thinks, might aid her in her efforts for the throne. the people of westeros thought dragons and gone and yet. there comes a dragon queen to perhaps end the wars that were forced upon them.

she had promised her, daenerys did, to return her to her house in the North, to assure the new friendship between wolves and dragons but sansa was here and worse, most people hold that the memories of wonderland remain in wonderland when one is sent home.

when she returns, she might have to fear her. ]

they say the targaryen kings of old had dragons the size of entire halls.

She's from your realm? I met her once. And a dragon.

[Which was really cool. Even if the dragon was tiny. He does realize that means someone she knew from home is gone, and that's probably sad. He gives her a sympathetic look.

That goes away at the idea ofgiant hall sized dragons.]

Wow, really? How much proof do they have of that? Because that sounds insane. Wouldn't the dragons just destroy everything?

She would be the queen of my realm.

[ it would be a jest. kings racing for power, tearing the realm apart and one queen would come to take what is left. sansa worries, however. worries there will not be enough for daenerys to save, worries that she will fail and leave the realms to lions in crimson and gold ]

they say there are halls with their skulls in king's landing. they listen to those of house targarayen. the same way lyanne does me, I dare imagine.

Wow. [Giant dragon skulls sound both creepy and cool and like something Dipper really hopes doesn't come to life randomly. But that would take some seriously strong magic.]

And you think she'd be a good queen? Since it takes a little more than dragons to rule well.

She has always been kind to me, though wolves and dragons are meant to be enemies, they do not walk together. My direwolf had not minded her little dragon nor the woman herself. She - I do not know. I used to think I knew what makes a queen good or bad.

[ now, she's entirely uncertain ]

she was kind to me.

There are a lot worse things for rulers to have than kindness. [Dipper smiles hesitantly. He doesn't really know what makes a queen good or bad either.] Especially towards people who might otherwise be your enemies. So that's promising.
