[ it's been a long time, months and months, since sansa had addressed wonderland. many moon cycles came and gone and people has well. today finds her in silks the color of the bluest skies and her hair in an elaborated braid that might remind some of a departed queen whose hair was silver. ]
Good people of Wonderland, I hope today finds you well.
[ formal and perhaps distanced, too. sansa had kept to her chambers for days on end, had not traded words with anyone. the stings were perhaps a bit too much. she had given herself some time to collect herself again and when the need came.
well, there she is. ]
Many people came and gone from this Wonderland of ours and I am missing a companion of my own. A direwolf named Lyanne I have sent to search for some friends that I have found - have departed from among us and were sent free.
[ her voice doesn't quiver, she tidies her gown and speaks again ]
She is highly likely still searching yet I must request that if you happen upon her, you shall tell her to find me. She is a direwolf of the north, larger than a wolf and smaller than a bear, her eyes are golden and her coat is that of grey for.
[ a beat and ]
And I am Lady Sansa of House Stark.

Do you ever manage a small degree of decorum and politeness?
[ it's a jape, a pointed question with a pointed smile. in truth, she should be annoyed, lady sansa would have been, before king's landing. but perhaps the part of her that's alayne would always be amused by him. ]

[He act like he doesn't have the slightest idea what she's talking about, eyebrows up, but the dry humor in his tone tells a truer story.]
I was brought up to mind my Ps and Qs in a small town, not to go to balls and eat off of silver spoons. We can't all be a Disney princess like you.
[That, and the fact that Adam just doesn't waste his time tip-toeing around these days. The old Adam might have had a better chance of impressing Lady Sansa, he's since lost his taste for hand-wringing and well-mannered smiles that hide a mouth full of lies.]

[ she shakes her head. once, she would have loved them, she would have dreamed herself a future of romance and charm. now, she feels as if she is too old, as if she cannot even advice a younger girl to enjoy the wonder before it is taken from her. ]
Princesses where I come from, at times, can wear politeness when it fits and fierceness the next moment. They are far more dangerous. I knew one, one who would be queen and she never needed rescuing from a dragon as dragons were her kin.

That's what you make me think of. It's kind of hard not to, what with the dresses and the grammatical correctness, and the talking to animals.
[The sense of otherness about her and the potential danger it brings doesn't detract from that image--in fact, it only strengths it, much like how angels in real life make the stories about them more tangible.]
Most things in stories are more dangerous. That's how it works. [But he makes a dry, amused sound.] I guess I should count myself lucky you're into fur, not scales.
[A bit hypocritical to say, considering the tentative rapport he'd built up with Toothless before the dragon had vanished, but he assumes Toothless had been an exception to the rule. The rule being that dragons are fucking scary.]

[ said with a smile. she shakes her head ]
She was surprisingly kind, for a queen of dragons.
[ for any sort of queen, if sansa is to be entirely honest. ]

He listens to her describe her dragon princess with a contemplative look. It's hard to tell if she's talking about someone she'd met in her world, or someone she'd met here.]
So who's Fido looking for now?
