[Dipper looks even more frazzled than usual. The stress lines that always surround his eyes are more pronounced than usual.]

So, you might have noticed a really strange transmission that went through? That... that's from my world. His name's Bill Cipher. He looks like a surprisingly well dressed triangle, and he's... some kind of demon, I guess. He can get into your head and mess with your dreams and just be creepy.

[He leans in closer to the camera.]

Whatever you do, don't trust him. Really, it's probably best to run as far away as you can if you see him. And let me know if he somehow gets into your head. I've gotten him out before, I can do it again.

[He sits back a bit.]

Fight him. In the mindscape you can pretty much do whatever you can imagine. Like, literally. Eye blasts, explosive kitten fists, you name it. Once we figured that out, it was pretty easy to fight him off.

[Though he sort of just... gave up at the end. Dipper isn't sure if that means they actually won or he was toying with them the entire time. He's not admitting that much now, though.]

[ whatever you like? sounds amazing. ] ...I can imagine funner things to do in a place like that than fighting triangles.

[ but anyway. ] I'm assumin' even with all those possibilities, you still couldn't trap him, huh? Won't do as much good here if he decides to act up.

....it's in someone's head so you don't really go there for fun. [He hopes you don't, at least. Can you feel his judgment, Dean. He isn't hiding it very well tbh.]

I haven't figured out a way to trap him yet, no. But he can't do much when he's not in your head. Just... be a big creep. I mean, he's intangible.

[ dean nods. ]

Alright, alright. I mean, that's something-- we can work with it. [ somehow. but he'll have to look into this whole triangle demon mess more himself before he starts taking this kid's word for anything. ]

You got a name?

Dipper. [He crosses his arms, glaring suspiciously at the other guy. The guy sounds like he wants to help, which is great, but he's also rubbing Dipper the wrong way.] Who are you supposed to be?

What the hell kinda name is Dipper... [ a phoney one. instead of giving his name, dean smirks some. ] Someone's a little paranoid, huh? What're you scared I'm gonna lie about my name or something?

...not until you suggested it. [Dipper is paranoid about a lot of things, but not that. He's aware that people can hide their identity, but it's not like anyone he knows has really had a situation like that come up.

That he... knows of...]

What, are you actually not gonna tell me?

Dean Winchester. [ see? no strings attached. ]

Where're you from, anyway? Clearly somewhere that has some, uh, fancy demons-- but what else?

[Sure, except for the part that Dipper has not been living under a rock and recognizes that name. He backs away abruptly, pointing a finger accusingly.]

You! You murder people! You're a demon! Are you working with him?

[ dean had, very specifically, picked the kid because of their lack of prior conversations. that, and this bill guy had piqued his interest-- but it looks like his original plan to meet new people is already going sour.

he waves a quick hand. ]

Okay, one? Not a demon. Anymore. And two-- super not working with him. When I was a demon, I flew solo.

[Dipper's a very observant kid. Even when he's not the one chasing the demons, he pays attention.

Which also means he remembers seeing something about that, though it hadn't been enough to cull the kneejerk response. Or make him any less suspicious of the guy, but to be fair, that was there before he made the demon connection.]

You were... "cured" or something, right? [Whatever that means.] Can that happen to other demons too?

[ the most mature reaction dean's seen, and it comes from a kid. why isn't he surprised? dean doesn't hesitate with his answer though. let's not look a gift horse in the mouth. ]

Far as I know, it can be done to any demon from where I come from. [ it's here he goes quiet for a moment, thinking. ] ...Don't know if it'd work on your demon though.

...yeah, it'd be way too convenient if we could just get a repeat performance. And you seem... pretty human right now. I don't know if that would... happen. [Imagining Bill as a human is just weird.]

Pretty human? That's fully human to you, kid. [ but just who is he trying to convince here? ] Demons used to be humans in my world, but if this thing's a triangle, then... [ who even knows what bill might have been in the past, right? ]

[Pretty human is the most Dipper's willing to commit to. A human becoming a demon then becoming human again doesn't sound so farfetched, but he still isn't willing to put forth more trust than that. Not initially.]

Yeah, I really don't think he has ever been human. He's way too not human for that. But there's gotta be something that'll work on him.

[Maybe it would transform him into a geometry textbook? Notes for consideration later.]

There always is. Struggle's findin' out what exactly and then gettin' your hands on the right things to get the ball rolling. [ none of this can ever be easy, after all. ] You know anything else about him? Like where he's from or-- uh, or how old he is, or if there're more demons like him?

He... might be from something called the Mindscape. [Or maybe he just hangs out there a lot. It's not entirely clear.] And he says he's working with the Queen here. I know enough about him to believe it could be possible.

[ mindscape doesn't ring any bells, but dean nods. it's good info to have for the future, in case something comes up. now as for working with the queen... ] Last time I checked, she ain't much of a team player... If anythin', I think she'd turn on him.

You might be right. Then again, he might be expecting it. He's not the biggest team player either.

...Who knows maybe we'll get lucky and they'll destroy each other.

[ hah, nervous laugh. ]

Wouldn't see me complaining. [He rubs his chin.] Though I wonder what would happen to this place without her here. She seems like such a big part of it all.

With any luck, we'd be able to get our hands on whatever magic it is that yoinks us here and use it to go back home without her in the way. On a shittier day... it all crumbles and we go with it.

[Oh my god Dean watch your language he is innocent and twelve and actually covers one ear before realizing that a) it's too late and he's passed the swear word and b) seriously Dipper be more uncool and childish.]

Uh that-- um. [He stutters a little, then clears his throat, taking a deep breath.] Y-yeah, and maybe we could figure out how to control it. I mean, that's gotta be some pretty powerful stuff. How cool would it be if we could harness it?

[He could prove once and for all that magic and the supernatural were real, and everyone who had ever laughed at him would be sorry.]

[ did somebody say please swear some more??? ]

Pretty darn cool, unless 'course one of our own maniacs gets their hands on it first. [ there are a couple shady characters around for sure, excluding the dorito and queens. ]

...Think our best bet would be to somehow get rid of it or... I don't know, seal it up.

Or study it! There's so much we could learn from something like that! [Dipper waves his hands, eyes wide with excitement.] And what if we could use it intentionally to travel to other worlds? There's so much we could learn!
