[ So, it's been a while since John's put his face out there, but considering the last time (and everything that's happened since), maybe it's not so hard to figure out why. Nevertheless, this suitably fine Sunday finds him taking the risk once again. It's not so much an attempt to be social as much as a way to stay connected without getting too close. ]

Hey, everyone. [ He waves. ] 'Bout a year an' a half ago, me an' the residents of Wonderland — some of 'em, at least — played a get-to-know-you game. It was pretty amusin' so I thought I'd bring it back, maybe add a few things, too.

Here's how it works: I'll says somethin' like, "If you were a superhero..." then you'll answer, "I'd be the Batman 'cause I'm from Gotham, my entire wardrobe's black, and I've smoked a pack a day for ten years, so my voice sounds like this." [ For the last part, he lowers his voice to a near-comical growl. ] Pick somethin' that suits you, or somethin' that's funny, and then when you're done answerin', come up with a similar one for me.

If you wanna play that, I can start us off with an easy one: If you were an animal...

Now, if that's not your game, I've got this totally original Wonderland Bingo card. [ He shows off the image of the BINGO card to the camera. ] Fill it out for yourself. If you can manage a bingo — that's five squares in a row, either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally — then I'll personally give you some kinda prize. Maybe dinner, I dunno.

Finally, if none of those are all that appealin', I'm thinkin' of maybe gettin' people together for a friendly game of Truth or Dare. If you're interested in that instead, just lemme know...

[ Yep. That's what John Blake's offering Wonderland this week. Hope you guys enjoy his newfound interest in doing very little that could be considered productive. ]

It is. I think it's considered to be the worst Batman movie of all-time. It's pretty funny. You really haven't seen Batman & Robin?

[ He leans back, grinning. ]

[ Excuse him while he spends his time being mortified over this. ]

Well, no, I just— Why would I? We don't— There's no Batman & Robin where I come from, Crowley. And definitely no chest armor with nipples.

Should we watch it? We should watch it later. Might change your choice, though.

[ Pushing himself up again, he kisses Blake's cheek, pretending to be entirely unaware of his reaction. ]

So why Batman?

[ No, sorry, does not compute. John stares at Crowley's card, still shaking his head, entirely caught up on the idea. What the fuck? Seriously, what the fuck? Why would anyone think that's a good idea? ]

Wait, wait, wait. Are you—? Are you sure you weren't just... seein' things? Those suits've got a lotta pieces to 'em. Coulda been a trick of the light.

Darling, nerds on the internet have been making jokes about it for years. Why are you taking this so seriously? Did Batman save your cat from drowning?

[ This is a disproportionate reaction to a very silly thing. Come on, Blake. ]

You know I don't like cats. [ It's almost snappish, but he reels it back in and sighs quietly before offering back the card. ] It's got nothin' to do with that. The Batman's— a symbol. That symbol's not nipples.

No one is going to argue that it's not a bad movie, darling. That's sort of the point.

[ He takes the card back looking just a little apprehensive. ]

I didn't know that Batman meant that much to you.

He's not a joke where I come from. [ Maybe that's the point of his upset. ] Is that—? Dean said somethin' 'bout George Clooney? Is that the same movie?

Yeah, it's the same movie.

[ He tosses the card to the side without another thought and reaches for Blake. ]

So you're, what? From a world where Batman isn't just a comic book character?

[ It strikes him strange that this has never come up between them, but truthfully, he's pretty sure he's been avoiding mentioning the Batman to Crowley even after all of this time because he isn't sure if it will make no difference, all the difference, or just something that makes sense. ]

Yeah, that's exactly right.

[ It's very straightforward, and particularly pointed, but not unkind. In fact, Blake seems to settle a bit upon saying as much. ]

Come here.

[ He moves to pull Blake closer. ]

You've got to tell me more than that. A minute ago you were having a conniption over it.

[ There's resistance, but not much as he lets Crowley do as he likes. He wouldn't offer that to anyone else. ]

That wasn't a connip- [ And then a shove, though it's light. ] Not funny. Hope that wasn't a joke...

It wasn't. Can't you tell when I'm joking?

[ Fine, it's most of the time, but that's not important. ]

What's going on in that pretty head of yours?

[ Blake is having a hard time believing it was just word choice and not some kind of snarky joke, but since Crowley seems to be interested in staying out of Perdita's doghouse, Blake just shakes his head. ]

Know we haven't talked 'bout Gotham much, but... how did you miss the whole Batman thing? Like— [ He's baffled. ] Did I just never mention it? Jesus.

You've definitely never mentioned anything about Batman, no. I'm fairly certain I would've made a nipple joke sooner if you had.

[ At least Crowley knows himself, right? ]

[ That's... weird. But Crowley's totally right and Blake knows it: no nipple joke goes unspoken in Crowley's world, no way, no how.

Flustered to some degree, John rubs at his forehead and lets out a slow, controlled breath. Okay, no, they definitely can't have this conversation, they can't. ]

You prefer the bullet points or would you rather just watch the movie?

[ Welp. ]

Oh, there's a movie?

[ His eyes light up, as if he's just been promised the holy grail of celebrity sex tapes. ]

I want that option.

[ The movies have been on Blake's bookshelf for months now, maybe longer, and it's strange to him that they're so easily missed by everyone. He'd only just pulled it from the shelf not long ago at the behest of Natasha, so now that he's thinking about this, he's fairly certain Crowley should know. ]

Yeah, it's— [ John shakes his head, waves a hand, and then plucks the DVD case from the shelf. He walks back toward Crowley, squaring off with the demon. ] —part of a trilogy. But I don't— [ He taps the case against his palm. ] It's not a very good movie.

[ Blake offers it out thinking to himself this is the weirdest fucking place there's ever been. ]

Got the others, too, if you don't wanna start at the end.

Are you asking me if I want to watch a trilogy of trashy superhero movies with you?

[ He flips around the case to read the back. At least Batman is still Bruce Wayne in this world. He thinks he'll get the gist, even if he hasn't seen any of these newer ones. ]

For you, I can suffer through.

[ The smile on his face turns to something a little warmer. ]

You know that your name is funnier now, right?

[ Remember all that stuff about liking you and being glad you're back and that you're okay? Blake is rethinking all of that in this moment, thanks. ~~Not really, but omg Crowley, you are so rude!~~ ]

No. I'm goin' out if you're watchin' those movies. It's like ten hours of weirdness and I don't like hearin' my own voice. It's incredibly fucked up.

You are not. You're going to stay here an answer my many questions as they come up. You've been familiar with my life for ages.

[ And he's getting a little pissy that that hasn't been returned. ]

[ Blake's face screws into a pinched unhappy state and he stares at Crowley for a good long moment before he finds himself fucked once again. Goddammit, why does he always feel like he's got to give in to this guy? ]

Fine. Whatever. [ He scoffs and rolls his eyes like he's some kind of teenager. ] Are we doin' that now, then?

[ Because he might just go get himself accidentally knocked off and come back later in the week just to be safe. ]

Right now? 'Cause I just gone done watchin' 'em like... a few days ago. Last week. Can't we just... wait? You already know most of it!

[ Crowley's jaw tightens. What, Blake just watches his own life on his time? Or would it be worse if Blake had opted to show it to someone else?

He snatches moves towards the TV. ]

Well, I'm going to watch it. Do what you want.

[ It's petulant, but he's feeling a bit petulant right now, anyway. It seems like every time he thinks they've found a balance, something knocks him off kilter again and in this case there's no one to blame but himself. ]

[ No, that's not entirely true, Blake's also to blame. Probably because he hasn't been entirely communicative when it comes to Crowley, and they're both experts at self-sabotage. ]

C'mon, don't do that. [ Hrngh. It's hard to be in a relationship! ] Why's this gotta be a thing? Those movies have been sittin' on the that shelf for a year and it's not been an issue until right now.

Funny. It sounds like you're saying I should have just snooped through your things.

[ He raises an eyebrow. Sure, he'd seen the films on the shelf, but he hadn't thought that they would be Blake's life. It's not as if he keeps those shit Supernatural books around. ]
