[ So, it's been a while since John's put his face out there, but considering the last time (and everything that's happened since), maybe it's not so hard to figure out why. Nevertheless, this suitably fine Sunday finds him taking the risk once again. It's not so much an attempt to be social as much as a way to stay connected without getting too close. ]

Hey, everyone. [ He waves. ] 'Bout a year an' a half ago, me an' the residents of Wonderland — some of 'em, at least — played a get-to-know-you game. It was pretty amusin' so I thought I'd bring it back, maybe add a few things, too.

Here's how it works: I'll says somethin' like, "If you were a superhero..." then you'll answer, "I'd be the Batman 'cause I'm from Gotham, my entire wardrobe's black, and I've smoked a pack a day for ten years, so my voice sounds like this." [ For the last part, he lowers his voice to a near-comical growl. ] Pick somethin' that suits you, or somethin' that's funny, and then when you're done answerin', come up with a similar one for me.

If you wanna play that, I can start us off with an easy one: If you were an animal...

Now, if that's not your game, I've got this totally original Wonderland Bingo card. [ He shows off the image of the BINGO card to the camera. ] Fill it out for yourself. If you can manage a bingo — that's five squares in a row, either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally — then I'll personally give you some kinda prize. Maybe dinner, I dunno.

Finally, if none of those are all that appealin', I'm thinkin' of maybe gettin' people together for a friendly game of Truth or Dare. If you're interested in that instead, just lemme know...

[ Yep. That's what John Blake's offering Wonderland this week. Hope you guys enjoy his newfound interest in doing very little that could be considered productive. ]

Avengers, huh? [ That sparks Blake's attention before he makes any effort to place himself in his own universe. ] That oughta be fun considerin' Cap'n America's here, right? Too bad you can't take that info home to the boy.

Unless... [ He squints a little. ] The Henry that's here? In Wonderland? That your boy?

Wait; the actual Captain America is here? [Damn. Neal's gonna have to ask if Henry knows, even if he's sure there's no way he doesn't. Still, like Blake said, it'd be great to actually tell him.]

Yeah, Henry Mills. You know him?

[ He nods enthusiastically. The actual Captain America, which he finds way, way more impressive than the Batman (though he'd never tell Bruce that). ]

Know of him. His mom's here, too, right?

[Man, that's a trip.

He nods when Blake asks after Henry's mom, figuring he has to know at least one of them.] Technically, both of them are. But if you're talking about his biological mom, that's Emma.

Emma Swan.

[ He nods. Yeah, that rings a bell since he's been working with her in the resistance for a long time. Blake smiles fondly. ]

What's your name? It's nice to meet you, man.

[ It might not be a close connection, but he's almost always pleased to meet the family of his friends. ]

You got it. [So there's the connection. Neal grins too, glad for it.]

Neal Cassidy, and same. Didn't catch your name though.

[The bingo card doesn't quite give it away; Neal's still too new for that.]

The aforementioned John Blake, actually. Most everyone calls me Blake, though.

[ He'd mentioned it earlier, but maybe it wasn't clear they were actually talking about the same guy. ]

Well met.

Right. How long do I get before the nagging texts start coming in?

[He's got a bingo card to fill, man.]

Depends on what kinda stuff you get into. Are you apt to get in trouble?

Y'know, that sounds like the sort of question I really shouldn't answer. [Translation: yes. But Neal grins, happy to joke along.] Especially if it turns out you're Wonderland's version of the police or something.

[ That actually makes Blake grin. ] You run afoul of the police a lot?

Who, me? Nah man, I'm Mister Law Abiding Citizen.

[Translation? Yes, although to be fair, Neal's gone straight since his days with Emma.]

That's what they all say. [ Blake shakes his head, more than amused by this conversation. ] Used to be a cop. Detective. Now I just sorta work— worked for the Man. Kinda.

What, you don't trust me? That stings. [Except not at all. Neal's glad Blake at least has a good sense of humor about it. There's plenty of cops, current and former, who would figure out that Neal used to be a bad guy and decide he's doomed to be the scum of the earth.]

Kinda sorta worked for the man. You know, that's making you sound a little like the shady one. Why'd you stop being a cop?

The cops stopped bein' good. Couldn't get behind bein' little more'n a tool for some person's political or personal agendas.

[ Blake's not sure how intriguing that information happens to be, but he does think it makes him sound a bit pompous, so he makes one addendum: ]

Was there to help people and when higher-ups made it practically impossible, had to get out. For my own sake.

[Well, it's definitely telling; it's nice to meet people who don't want any part of those games, as opposed to the ones who thrive off of them.]

Sounds like a good reason. Being here must drive you nuts. [Since as far as Neal's been told, it's all a game to someone.]
