Ok, I'll try and keep this short and sweet. There should have been a little gift outside your door in the form of chocolate with a nifty logo on it.

[A task that would have been ridiculously annoying if she hadn't had help in the form of one Percy Jackson.]

Since I've been here for like 6ish months, and it's clear I'm not going home any time soon - I figured I might as well do something semi-productive.

[No, this has absolutely nothing to do with her recent death - nope. Not at all.]

Coffee shop's open for business on the 1st floor. You can't miss it - it's right next to the training center so stop in and get your java fix sometime. Also, I guess if people want to help out, I def won't say no.

[It's not like it's a legit legit business with paperwork and things like paychecks. Makes things way less messy that way.]

One more thing before I forget - if I'm not around, I don't object to people doing their own thing as long as you don't burn it down or break everything and leave a mess in your wake. That happens and I'll find you and I will kick your butt. Don't think that I won't. Because I will.

[Or she'll call for back-up to do the butt kicking. DETAILS.]

I'll be here hanging out so stop in and say hi. We also have pie courtesy of Ned, so that's a thing. There's also non-caffeinated drinks like tea and decaf if caffeine isn't your thing.

Oh!If anybody's up for it, I'm totes looking for guinea pigs to test coffee things out on so just let me know if you're game.

[And with that that, she ends the feed and returns to setting up various colored coffee mugs behind the bar.]

[He took Darcy up on her offer. It was the first time he'd left his room in two days. As soon as all the singing started he holed himself up, no one wanted to hear his horrible voice singing about missing his boyfriend. But the signing had stopped and there was a promise of coffee in his near future.

The coffee shop was easy to find and Darcy was hanging out behind the counter. ]

Hey! I'm here to taste coffee concoctions.

[She smiles, starting a shot of espresso as she gestures to one of the seats.]

Cherry or pomegranate?

[That's all he's getting for her spin on mochas.]

[Billy took a seat and made a face. Those were interesting choices.]

Uh, pomegranate?

[She preps it almost like a tea, putting the pomegranate - seeds and all - into a tea strainer before starting the espresso.

She preps the mocha before letting the pomegranate steep for a minute, adding a little of the juice for a bonus.

It's all a guess right now, taking it out when it feels right before looking at him.]

Did you want whipped cream?

Is that really a question? Who says no to whipped cream?

You'd be surprised. There are people out there that are anti-frou frou.

She gives him a generous amount of whipped cream, drizzling a little pomegranate and chocolate syrups on top before handing it over.]

Alright - tell me what you think of that.

Heathens.

[Billy eats the whipped cream off the top before actually drinking the coffee. Contemplating it for a moment.]

That's good, different. I think it need a little more pomegranate?

[She smiles, pulling her laptop out to make quick note of the update to the recipe file she was building.]

A little more pomegranate... Got it.

[Once her fingers are done putting on a show of flying over the keys, she moves to grab the leftover pomegranate juice, adding a little sugar to it and mixing it up.]

I bet if I lay this out to dry, I could make pomegranate sugar. Or if I put it in the oven, it could melt it into like a pomegranate candy. Something to set in there to melt with the heat of the coffee...

[Or it could just get really gross. OPTIMISM.]

[he takes another sip of his coffee, it's definitely growing on him. ] You could also just sell it like rock candy. What else are you concocting?

[Oh man, rock candy. Yes.]

I was gonna do pumpkin things but I'm not much of a fan and it's so expected. So I've been playing around with other fall-ish things. Warm flavors and colors - things that make people think comfort.

Pumpkin can be over done. How about apple? That can also be over done but there's nothing better than apple pie or spiced cider. You could probably make a tea.

What about caramel apples, or maybe something with pear? That could be really good. Pair up coffees with breads or pies too. Maybe do the whole cupcake thing if I'm feeling ambitious. Make a s'more drink too. That could be fun.

A caramel apple cider? I would be all over that. Same with a toasted marshmallow s'mores latte, with like graham cracker topping. [Now you're getting him excited too.]

My mom always made baked pears with cinnamon and sugar in the fall.

[YES. There's a pause as her lips quirk, taking a look around.]

Ok, but what if the toasted marshmallow s'more latte had actual caramelized marshmallow on the top. The kind of caramelization that you can only get with the little torch you use for things like crème brûlée...

[It would be a solid idea until someone took the torch away from her. Which would obviously be ridiculous. She could totally be trusted with fire. Totally.]
