Ok, I'll try and keep this short and sweet. There should have been a little gift outside your door in the form of chocolate with a nifty logo on it.

[A task that would have been ridiculously annoying if she hadn't had help in the form of one Percy Jackson.]

Since I've been here for like 6ish months, and it's clear I'm not going home any time soon - I figured I might as well do something semi-productive.

[No, this has absolutely nothing to do with her recent death - nope. Not at all.]

Coffee shop's open for business on the 1st floor. You can't miss it - it's right next to the training center so stop in and get your java fix sometime. Also, I guess if people want to help out, I def won't say no.

[It's not like it's a legit legit business with paperwork and things like paychecks. Makes things way less messy that way.]

One more thing before I forget - if I'm not around, I don't object to people doing their own thing as long as you don't burn it down or break everything and leave a mess in your wake. That happens and I'll find you and I will kick your butt. Don't think that I won't. Because I will.

[Or she'll call for back-up to do the butt kicking. DETAILS.]

I'll be here hanging out so stop in and say hi. We also have pie courtesy of Ned, so that's a thing. There's also non-caffeinated drinks like tea and decaf if caffeine isn't your thing.

Oh!If anybody's up for it, I'm totes looking for guinea pigs to test coffee things out on so just let me know if you're game.

[And with that that, she ends the feed and returns to setting up various colored coffee mugs behind the bar.]

I would like that. [ he takes a seat, near the counter, gingerly settling his weight on the stool. ]

[She gets to work with the coffee, still feeling a little awkward about not having told him about her death when he'd first shown up - that he'd had to hear it from someone else. A few other someone elses, even... She knows she should have told him, but opening up was hard - no matter who it was to.

Placing the cup in front of him, she offers a small smile.]

So, what do you think? You like it?

[ for his part, he's actively trying to be... 'normal', with her. if perhaps a shade gentler than usual. ]

I'm still not the best judge of human decor, but... yes. I think it suits you, and I like you. [ therefore ]

[ he takes the cup, feeling the warmth of the coffee through the ceramic. ]

[It's a gesture she appreciates, especially with just how delicately people had treated her after everything... Though it was understandable considering just how fragile she'd been.

She follows his logic, giving a small shake of her head as the smile stays in place. It worked for her and she didn't need to push it any further for details. Pouring a cup of coffee for herself, she slides into an open spot on the counter behind the bar before taking a sip.]

What have you been up to? Adjusting to the Wonderland life okay?

So far, so... [ he lets his voice trail away, and a frown takes his brow ] It has been mostly comfortable here. For me.

[Yeah, she understood that frown and what else went with it. She'd made the same face more than once.] At least the rooms do the whole magic thing so you can basically have whatever you want. I mean it's a crappy consolation prize, but it's something.

[And fingers and toes crossed it would be pretty quiet in terms of events and things.]

Did you want to try any of the pies? Ned made them.

[ he makes a little snorting noise ] Perhaps too much consolation.
