[ a little while ago dean brutally murdered one demon king of hell, crowley, and hurt john blake in the process. before that, he murdered both his best friend and brother, and attacked a whole bunch of people once near and dear to him. today, thankfully, finds him doing something entirely different as dean addresses the network with a lazy smile on his face.

This place is kinda morbid, right? Murders and fights and scheming going on left and right— leaves your head spinning even on a good day. So I figure I should try to shake things up a little, and offer something… uh, nicer to the public.

[Overprotective much? That streak's been going strong for years now, even long before Angel verbally tore apart one of her directors concerning his treatment of her. Some things he can overlook, but this isn't one of them.]

[He's not interested in putting his mouth on you, Dean, sorry-- but a solid punch isn't out of the question, especially since he knows from experience that he can go toe-to-toe with a demon and come out of it in one piece. Even without his extensive experience with fighting demons back home, he and Meg had had their moments.]

[There's a hard edge to his voice, cold and almost infuriatingly calm rather than bloodthirsty, a quiet rage that he can feel beginning to roll through him, pushing everything else aside.]

[Angel doesn't dignify the threat with a response. Instead he ends the feed abruptly, launching himself into motion, and starts looking. He knows what Dean smelled like as a human. Mingle that with a little bit of sulfur and it's easy enough to find the trail.

Dean, you just said the exact wrong thing to the wrong vampire.]

[ dean thinks the conversation is over, with angel offended beyond words and off sulking somewhere. so don't mind him, leaning against the impala someways from the mansion, looking as relaxes and smug as ever while he responds to some of the other more offended people replying to his ad.

cordelia included. god, he'd fuck her to next week if only given the chance.

but either way, consider him distracted for once, not paying attention to the approaching presence of one angry vampire. ]

[For as infuriating as it was, at least Dean's broadcast served as a decent distraction-- good enough for Angel to follow his scent through the mansion and out to the grounds. Were it still daylight, they'd have a serious problem on their hands, but the sun has begun to set and direct sunlight is no longer an issue, leaving Angel free and clear to stalk his way across the grounds, coat billowing over-dramatically behind him.

It's a thing.]

[Mild, casual-- just enough to get the demon's attention before Angel launches himself forward, throwing a wide hook towards Dean's jaw, fingers clenched into a tight fist as he puts all of his vampiric strength behind that one blow.]

[ hey, dean is about all the warning he gets before the fist connects with his jaw. dean goes stumbling back hard, the pain radiating through his jaw and into the entire skull. fucking fuck, someone knows how to throw a punch. ]

Jesus-- [ wow, not cool, not awesome, what is wrong with you? hand rubbing over his bruise -- which slowly begins to heal -- he turns back to angel, surprised to find him there. ]

[He's a damn Champion, that's what's wrong with him-- and you pissed him off.]

I'm not playing anything.

[Because Cordelia doesn't need a knight. She's her own hero-- but that doesn't mean he's not angry on her behalf, or for himself. Cordelia may not be where he is emotionally, but that doesn't change how he feels about her.]

Who the hell ever told you it was a good idea to treat women like that?

[That particular brand of disrespect is something he knows a lot about. He hadn't always been a vampire boy scout. As humans went, Liam had been pretty despicable. Not the same as Angelus, but still-- not someone Angel remembered fondly.]
