[Dipper looks even more frazzled than usual. The stress lines that always surround his eyes are more pronounced than usual.]

So, you might have noticed a really strange transmission that went through? That... that's from my world. His name's Bill Cipher. He looks like a surprisingly well dressed triangle, and he's... some kind of demon, I guess. He can get into your head and mess with your dreams and just be creepy.

[He leans in closer to the camera.]

Whatever you do, don't trust him. Really, it's probably best to run as far away as you can if you see him. And let me know if he somehow gets into your head. I've gotten him out before, I can do it again.

[He sits back a bit.]

I'm afraid not. Honestly, I can't say I've ever come across a situation where I've needed it.

But if you did need it. [Or in this case, if Dipper needed it, which is more accurate.] Would you know where to look for one?

No place here in Wonderland that I can think of. I do know of particular objects that can seal powerful magical beings, however.

Really? What kind of objects? Do they work on ones that are incorporeal? How can I get them?

Perhaps we should speak in person about this.

[ahahaha he trusts the networks not one bit.]

Uh... sure. [Dipper knows for sure they can be overheard on the network, but then again, he's not so sure that anywhere else is safer. Bill seems very good at being anywhere and everywhere.] You know the caves? Down in, um, House Baelish.

[actually he'll probably be there before dipper, because he can fucking TELEPORT, but you know... details. either way, he'll be waiting there when dipper comes scurrying along.]

[Dipper looks startled when he sees Gold waiting there. Enough that he stops short. He wasn't expecting fucking teleportation, okay.]

How did you get here so fast?

[so succinctly. he even does the wrist flick. like what do you expect, kid. he spins straw into gold. that's not important right now.] Now... as we were saying. I know of at least three artifacts that can contain powerful magical beings. I'm not certain if those rules apply to our triangular menace, but they'd be worth the attempt if we had them. One of them is kept my shop back home in Storybrooke- Pandora's Box.

...from the Greek Myth? [Hold on a second.] You're from a place called Storybrooke.

[What kind of name for a town is that.]

Allegedly, they borrowed the myth from us, but yes. [But who really knows with ALL THESE DAMN WORLDS.]

Yes, and I assure you that its name was not coincidental. [curses have a strange sense of humor.]

[Dipper squints, trying to figure out what he could mean by that. He... hasn't made the fairytale connection still. He is an expert in many things, but guy is actually a fairytale is a big leap, even for him.] What, are there other borrowed myths?

To be fair, any myth was real to someone at some point. [So yeah, all those things you can imagine from books? They're real. Somewhere.] The tales are just passed on into legend across realms, until no one can recall if they ever truly happened at all.

[Dipper frowns, crossing his arms and tilting his head as he considers.]

...I mean, on the one hand, that sounds really farfetched. On the other hand, we're standing in Wonderland and you can spin straw into gold.

And you are a very open-minded young man. [C'mon, Dipper. Embrace the universal nexus.]

Always have been. [The compliment gets a smirk out of him.] But how far does it go? I mean, is there a world where Ducktective is real?

[undealt]

[he has no idea what that is. it sounds awful.]

I wouldn't rule anything out, no matter how far-fetched.

[krmvgivv]

I mean, the special effects on that show are so bad. Sure doesn't look real.

[undealt]

It's just a fictional account. Just like those storybooks about Wonderland seem to lack the nuance of the truth. And trust me when I say a duck solving crime would not be the strangest encounter I've ever had in my lifetime.

[The special effects in Rumplestiltskins' world are pretty bad too, amirite?]

Really? What would be?

[He's curious, now. What would a guy from a fairytale consider strange?]

Let's just say, Prince Charming and Snow White are part of my extended family, and leave it at that. Knowing that, one has to redefine strange.

[....he opens his mouth. He closes it again. Thinks for a minute. Finally shrugs.] You're right. That's weirder than ducktective.

Indeed.

[still getting used to it.] The point is, getting the items that might contain your triangle isn't easy. The closets won't deal in anything specific, and... well, there's a cost for the vendors.

One that'll be worth it if it works. But I don't want to give up a memory for nothing. I'd need to be sure.

[undealt]

It successfully contained me. [grim] And I'm the most powerful being in my land.

[Not entirely true, but accurate enough. He still can't hold a candle to Bill, but...]
