[Dipper looks even more frazzled than usual. The stress lines that always surround his eyes are more pronounced than usual.]
So, you might have noticed a really strange transmission that went through? That... that's from my world. His name's Bill Cipher. He looks like a surprisingly well dressed triangle, and he's... some kind of demon, I guess. He can get into your head and mess with your dreams and just be creepy.
[He leans in closer to the camera.]
Whatever you do, don't trust him. Really, it's probably best to run as far away as you can if you see him. And let me know if he somehow gets into your head. I've gotten him out before, I can do it again.
[He sits back a bit.]

I mean on the back of a dollar bill. There's an eagle, the word ONE, and a triangle with an eye up at the top.
[And he makes a triangle with his thumbs and forefingers as he explains and holds it up to his eye so there's an eye in the middle. He ignores all the other whining about it, though.]
Or...does money not look like that where you're from? [Technically that's possible too. There's people from all over around here.]

It has not one, but two Bills on it. He lets out a yelp and drops it.
It's not exactly legal tender. He'd think that it wasn't proof except the Once-ler already said other money has it too.]
Why is Bill on dollar..... oh my god, they're even named after him!
[THAT BETTER BE A COINCIDENCE.]

[Just. Why. The Once-ler used to make something useless for a living and even he thinks that might be the most useless thing he's ever seen.]
Anyway, beats me. But isn't it just a coincidence if every world has it? I feel like I would've heard of weirdo triangle demons before if they were back in my world.

Would you have, though? Most people in my world haven't heard of him. I hadn't heard of him until I went to Gravity Falls and even there most people don't know anything. Most people don't even believe the supernatural is real, and they certainly don't think triangles when they do think about it.

Well, of course they don't think that - it sounds completely nuts. But you'd think if there was something like that causing trouble, somebody would've noticed by now. Besides, what would it even mean that he's on a bunch of money? What's he up to, some kind of-- [He snickers, unable to resist.] --pyramid scheme?

The only supernatural anything we ever had was the Lorax, and...well. He's gone now.
[The Once-ler actually sounds...kind of sad, mentioning it.]
Aside from him there's no magic or demons or weird stuff like that where I'm from.

[He tries to be as casual about his explanation as he can, but the subject matter is clearly a sensitive one, and he can't seem to look at the screen when he talks. There's guilt and sadness all over him, because of course he has feelings.]

[He snaps it, as if he's hoping being unnecessarily cold about it will make Dipper stop asking - the kid isn't exactly his biggest fan. But, that's not really fair and the guilt makes his shoulders sag too much to be convincing anyway.]
...I used to be the CEO of a big company. We used the trees to make our product but we-- I. I got carried away. I was too focused on biggering to realize I'd destroyed...well, everything.

And...no, not really. No one cared. ...Well, I mean. The Lorax cared. But he was the only one, and once he lifted himself away...the only thing anyone cared about was that the weren't getting anymore Thneeds, and that the factory was shutting down. They just moved onto the next new thing and forgot all about the trees.
[And now the Once-ler is full of regrets and not a single person in Thneedville misses the way the valley used to be.]

And Thneed is definitely a word. It's a word I made up for my product, at the time. It was a thing that I told everyone they needed - therefore, a Thneed.
