Considering that it's obvious that not everyone is from the same type of place, and about half of everyone here didn't know about any kind of magic before getting here- ( It's okay, neither did she ) -it would be interesting to know exactly what there is, and what's possible in worlds. When things get brought here knowing about it first could be useful.

And before anyone asks, no- it's not going personal. I don't care whether you're part of any of the questions just what you already knew and what's possible. It's from a science perspective.

( Which she will tell you about if you actually ask because no many people care about Wonderland physics )

Are you looking at it for the science or curiosity?

The short version is that Beacon Hills is a beacon. And the spirit might already have been trapped there for a few decades.

It was. It was worse then when I didn't know anything connected to it but I'm learning about it now.

I deal in information. It's less science and more strategy. I have friends who are looking at all the science and magic angles. I'm more interested in finding out if there's a pattern in any of the details we do have. Sometimes if you can find a motive or common causes, it offers new understanding, or a different avenue of approach. I know nothing about pocket dimensions or magic, other than both are frequently a pain in the ass, but this at least is something I have experience in pursuing.

It sounds like you come from a very interesting place.

Your first brush with the supernatural, I take it? That's rarely as fun as it should be.

No. Even then I didn't know what had happened, not until everything was revealed. My friends kept it from me to protect me, which it only half did. It's easier now that I know.

I can work with that. There's little point in hoarding information here when someone unexpected could do something useful with it.

I'm sure they meant well. I haven't met many of your friends, but I've gotten to know Scott fairly well. He does seem to be a bit of the overprotective sort.

They did mean well, and I wasn't mad. It was a lot to take in, particularly when my boyfriends was a mind-controlled homicidal lizard. Or his controller was the homicidal psycho, anyway. Those things make you want to protect people.

...That also sounds unpleasant. Did your boyfriend get... better, I hope?

The person controlling him was killed and he changed. He sorted out the issues that was making him be the kanima. ( And then he died and became a werewolf )

And that... stopped him from being a kanima?

[ At least that's what Lydia made it sound like. Not that Natasha had any idea what a kanima was - that wasn't a creature she'd found a description of yet. She was assuming it was still some sort of shifter, possibly, from the sound of it. Like some of the others Lydia had named, the name sounded Japanese perhaps. ]

I did enough. Kanima's aren't exactly a simple story.

As I've never even heard of a kanima, I may have to take your word for it. Is this another Japanese spirit?

No. It kind of happened because his issues rejected the werewolf bite.

So he was bitten by a werewolf but he turned into something else?

Yep. Usually you either turn or you die.

I'm sure he provided quite the puzzle then.

Well the first time I arrived here I didn't know any of this, then I found out here, went home and fast forwarded a good few months. It makes things awkward.

I can imagine it does. I haven't made any trips home, but I've had a friend or two who did. It makes things confusing all around.

Did a lot change after they'd gone home?

For them? Yes, quite a bit.

As far as I know, among the people that come from the same world as me, I'm one of the ones from the farthest point ahead. It ends up being a careful juggling act of what to tell who.

You seem like you'd be able to do it. Just from this information sounds like something you're good at handling.

There's only one other person from my home that is from the closest time to me. We don't really talk about what's happening.

I'm not a stranger to handling secrets. But this takes things to a whole new level of understanding which ones should be kept and which ones should not.

I've heard a little from Scott. Things are pretty bad back home for you guys, I take it?

Depending on who you're keeping a secret from would change how much to tell them. Could they handle it or even help? It makes it easier.

Someone's going to die. One of those spirits I mentioned is in control of it all, and they have a friend.

Some of them are secrets from a great many people and could harm some and help another. And vice versa. In which case, keeping my mouth shut about everything seems the most prudent at the moment.

Not everyone would be able to keep the secret as well.

Somehow it always gets fixed. Hopefully before another body appears.
